Body Experiential Awareness Practice (BEAP), is a devotional nonprofit offering of movement, meditation, essential oils and reiki combined to create healing space for relief, restoration and wellness. BEAP shares the philosophy we are all connected. And with intention, love and support, we can hold space for ourselves and one another for healing.
Fascia is connective tissue responsible for connecting muscles to the joints and bones as well as cushioning and supporting our organs. This connective tissue also spans large areas of the body, like a network underneath the skin sending signals from head to toe and transferring power to the bones. There are roughly six distinguishable types of connective tissue. A great resource of information on fascia and exercises to support fascial wellness is Robert Schleip’s, Fascial Fitness.
All together this massive and versatile network of tissue connecting our entire body is considered a single organ. This major organ provides four basic functions to our body. Shaping, movement, communication and supply. If one part of the network is damaged or disturbed there will be stress responses throughout the entire body as well.
Now, think of each other as being connected by an invisible network and all the above applying to us as a collective. I invite us to nurture one another as you would a part of your own being. When one of us hurts it affects us all and we can help in assisting with the four basic functions in one another for healing by taping into this invisible connectivity.
Bellyogaroma uses specific isolations and postures to tap into this connective tissue within our body and access the body's natural, intuitional movement and ability to heal in an environment facilitating connection to the nurturing fabric connecting us all. Together, we can hold gentle space for ourselves and one another for healing and wellness.
Sending signals of love,
Tina
